Our competitive soccer program offers teams in every age group from U8 through U19, providing a higher level of play. 

Led by a highly qualified international coaching staff, the program focuses on skill development in the early years and tactical growth in later years, ensuring players have opportunities to compete at the highest levels nationally. While winning is a goal, player development remains the top priority.

As North San Diego’s premier soccer club, SDSC Surf has achieved numerous State Cup Championships and National Cup Finalist titles. Many players have advanced to college programs, earning athletic scholarships.



Our goal is to help every player improve yearly, with multiple teams per age group allowing progression within the club. Equal development opportunities are offered to all players, regardless of their team level.

SDSC Surf is proud to be one of the first San Diego clubs to transition to the Southern California Soccer League (SoCal), an NPL member league offering postseason opportunities and numerous US Club Soccer benefits. These include player identification and development, cup-based competitions, coaching education, and a strong focus on player health and safety.

US Club Soccer’s mission is to provide an ideal development environment for players of all ages through its holistic Players First initiative. This philosophy, supported by top-tier resources and partnerships like LaLiga, emphasizes five pillars: Club Development, Coaching Development, Player Development, Parent Engagement & Education, and Player Health & Safety. SDSC Surf aligns with these standards to ensure the safest and most effective environment for youth soccer players.

At SDSC Surf, all 7v7 teams (boys and girls), girls 9v9 teams, and 3rd-tier and below teams for 11v11 (both boys and girls) participate in the SoCal league. A typical season for SoCal league teams includes:

• U7-U14: Training begins April 1st, with 3-4 summer tournaments and a fall season (12 games) from September to November.
• U15-U18: Training starts June 1st, with a fall season (10 games) ending in November, followed by a high school break until March, then preparation for State Cup (April-May).
• Optional State Cup play for U8-U14 takes place in January-February.
