SDSC Surf is one of the best clubs in San Diego County. Our girls program is a part of the Girls Academy (GA) and our boys program is a part of the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). Both the GA and ECNL feature some of the top clubs across the country and both are known for giving players exposure to some of the highest levels of soccer in the United States!

The SDSC Surf the U15-U19 tryouts will take place the week of April 20th, 2026

On May 3rd, we’re bringing the SDSC Surf community together for an exciting night at San Diego FC’s match vs. Dallas FC at Snapdragon Stadium! This is a fantastic opportunity to cheer on SDFC, connect with fellow players and families, and enjoy exclusive fan experiences.

College Commitments

Every year SDSC Surf has many players move on to college-level play and earn scholarships from D1, D2, D3 and NAIA level schools. Our staff is prepared to help you through the process and achieve success.

SDSC Surf offers its players an in house College Recruiting Player Advisor in addition to exceptional outside tools and resources. Each team meets with our College Recruiting Advisor and attends one of our highly informative college recruiting information meetings preparing them to use the tools provided below. These are the primary tools and information you need to navigate the college recruiting process for soccer and other sports.

Matt Hall Joins SDSC Girls Coaching Staff

SDSC Surf is excited to announce the hiring of Matt Hall to our girls coaching staff! Matt has been a staple of the soccer community here in San Diego and we couldn't be happier than to have him coming on board. He brings a wealth of knowledge to our club having coached the game at all levels. On the club side, he has spent the last 10 years working as the Director of Coaching for the Vista Storm. At the collegiate level, Matt is currently the assistant coach for the women's program at the University of San Diego. He also spent many years as the lead assistant for the men's program at San Diego State. Prior to his current stint with USD, Matt was the head coach for the women at MiraCosta College. Professionally, he spent many years as Landon Donovan's assistant coach with the San Diego Loyal. He has also worked with US Soccer both scouting, evaluating, and coaching players.

Matt started off his club coaching career at PQ Premier back in the 2000's and was a part of SDSC in the beginning before moving off to seek other opportunities. He will be working with our girl's program by coaching a younger team and assisting with the GA program. His leadership and expertise will be a valuable asset as we continue to work to improve the programs we offer to the membership.
